HELP

1. You can input braille, letters (printed text), numbers, and symbols.

2. Make sure that the language in your smartphone is set to Arabic.

* In Arabic, a separate operation is required on your smartphone for keyboard synchronization.

Setting→ general management→ Language and input → Physical keyboard → Samsung keyboard-Arabic → Arabic Android keyboard

* Setting → genertal management → Language and input → speech- text to speech options → Preferred TTS engines – Google Text to speech engine

 → google text to speech engine setting → language : arabic / install voice data – install arabic 

3. If the letters you typed by using SMARTIO are not inputted in your smartphone properly, it is likely that the language settings of your phone are not synchronized with SMARTIO. You can solve this problem by pressing L2 key + Mode button for more than 3 seconds to synchronize the language settings of your smartphone and SMARTIO.

4. Press Mode button to toggle between Navigation Mode and Input Mode.

You should hold SMARTIO facing the back of your keypad and Volume down button will be right on the top of the device.

• Switching languages: If you press L2 key, Arabic is toggled with English and Selected. 

• Symbol Input: Press L4 key to switch to Symbol Mode and type in symbols.

• Returning to Braille Mode: Press L4 key again to switch from Symbol Mode to Braille Mode.  

• Go forward one character.: R1+N5

• Go back one character : R1+N2

• Go forward one word : R2+N5

• Go back one word : R2+N2

Hold SMARTIO facing the keypad and Volume down button will be left on the top of the device.

i. Arabic: Keys for Arabic are arranged based on the FAST Arabic System. You can combine Arabic using N1 key to N3 key, and two Arabic consonants are allocated in each keypad from N4 key to N12 key from right to left.

• N2 : Triple Nocta up (Reserved name by FAST System)

• N3 : Nocta up (Reserved name by FAST System)

a. Number Input: The number and symbol keys are assigned as the same as in the QWERTY keyboard. To type a symbol on the right of a key, press L4 key (Shift) and then the keys you want accordingly.

Browser Mode helps you use internet browsers easily. You can press and hold N12 key more than 3 seconds in Navigation Mode to switch to Browser Mode. Then, use the command below for Google Chrome Browser.
